We are Joan and Michael Wolfe. Our business began in 1989 and has grown by word-of-mouth. We work as a team, specializing in helping
others to accomplish their goals. Design and development and layout and formatting for advertising, web, and print needs are our main areas of expertise. Samples of our work and more information on the services we offer are
available via our site. |
Background Information: We began publishing information on the internet in the 'Gopher' days (1992). After taking computer
courses in college in the mid-1980s, Michael worked as a MicroComputer Consultant for Starving Students Moving (Don Witmer, Victoria, BC) and for the KYAC Project (Knowledge for Youth About Careers,
Rick Bradshaw, Counselling Services, SFU), in the early-1990s, where he became the Project Manager. He is self-employed as a computer consultant and currently does computer setup,
configuration, troubleshooting, image editing, research, and web design and development. Joanie was introduced to the computer in college as well and, since 1989, has worked for Simon Fraser
University. She is the Information (Computer Resource) Specialist in the Psychology Department where she does
website design and development and supports faculty, staff, and students in the (effective) use of computer programs. While formatting students' theses/dissertations on an on-contract basis, she developed an easy-to-use thesis template with accompanying instructions to help
graduate students format their theses with minimal--if any--support. She has taught a variety of (non-credit) computer courses and is gifted in supporting those who have
trouble understanding computers and technology. She is especially skilled in supporting those via distance (via phone).
